*NYAGGI CELEBRATES YOUTH ON INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY AND EXTENDS SALLAH GREETINGS TO THE MUSLIM FAITHFUL*
Press Release: 12th August, 2019
*FROM THE OFFICE OF THE National Deputy Coordinator*
It is with extreme sense of pleasure and the spirit of struggle today, I, on behalf of the 1.7 million of armless and shameless battalion of Nigerian youth in Bauchi state, want to take this ample opportunity to celebrate and rejoice with our fellow unintimidated teeming youth all over the globe on this propitious remarkable International Youth Day as well as to felicitate with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabr celebration.
Well, International Youth Day is being observed annually on August 12th. It is meant as an opportunity for governments and others to draw attention to youth issues worldwide. During International Youth Day, concerts, workshops, cultural events, and meetings involving national and local government officials and youth organizations take place around the world. The 2019 theme of the day is *“Transforming education”*
However, in regard to this year's theme, the *Nigeria Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative (NYAGGI)* wishes to call on the attention of the Federal government of Nigeria to without any further delay declare state of emergency on education sector and thereby taking the immediate steps towards restructuring the system.
Nigerian system of education is absolutely becoming obsolete, disaster with full of dilapidated structural facilities and poor operational policies which precariously makes the system worst and very bad especially at the lower level (public primary and secondary schools).
However, it's clearly known that for a country to be able to developed economically it must have good and functioning educational system and Nigeria so also requires a total educational reformation. Because, it is only through that, that Nigeria as a nation can keep pace with the accelerated technological changes in the modern world.
On a final note, while drawing the attention of the government on the need to reform educational system, the NYAGGI also wishes the entire Muslim of the whole world happy sallah and a hitch free gratification and prosperous moments.
*"EDUCATION IS A BEDROCK AND A KEY TO THE NATION DEVELOPMENT"*
"Education Must Be Free And Compulsory In Nigeria"
